The PhD educational program includes compulsory (C) and eligible (E) or not required (NR) activities. These activities consist of short courses, seminars, lectures, and practical sessions.
For the PhD Course in Veterinary Science and Food Safety, attendance of the compulsory activities (12.5 ECTS) is mandatory, along with at least 3 ECTS from eligible courses. Eligible courses that count towards the minimum total of 15.5 ECTS are marked with “E*”.

The program is designed to enhance students’:

  • proficiency in scientific English
  • ability to manage databases
  • skills in literature search, experimental planning, and statistical analysis
  • knowledge of research ethics and bioethics
  • acquisition of general and transferable skills
  • ability to disseminate scientific knowledge

The PhD Course in Veterinary Science offers a selection of teaching activities listed in this document. Please note that the column dedicated to PhD activities is labelled "VSFS.

C indicates compulsory courses, all of which must be attended over the three years.

E* = Eligible courses that contribute towards the minimum 3 ECTS required from eligible
courses.

E = Other eligible courses of potential interest (these do not count towards the 3 ECTS
requirement).

NR = Not required activities.

Some activities are organised in collaboration with other doctoral courses at the Agripolis Campus.
