Parasitic diseases in wildlife

Brief description of the P.h.D. project:

The PhD research focuses on parasitic diseases in wild carnivores, with a particular interest in the golden jackal and grey wolf. We study both helminths and protozoa to assess the relevance of these species to public and veterinary health. As these animals expand their range and increasingly move into human-dominated areas, understanding the potential for parasite transmission between wildlife, domestic animals, and humans becomes ever more important.
