Hanane Maghrebi

Education:

Master degree in Plant Biology and Physiology at the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis, Tunisia
Master degree in Biotechnologies for Food Science at the University of Padova

Research areas:

My research areas are food toxicology, cellular and molecular biology, in vitro models, and transcriptomic analysis.

Brief description of the P.h.D project:

My PhD project investigates the toxic effects of okadaic acid, a marine toxin causing diarrhetic shellfish poisoning in humans. Using IPEC-J2 and Caco-2 in vitro models, I study barrier integrity, cytotoxicity, and molecular responses to better understand OA exposure and enhance public health protection and seafood safety.
