Brief description of the P.h.D. project:
PhD project within Research Topic “Honey bee health: a molecular multidisciplinary approach in the time of climate change”.
The aim of this project is: a) to investigate the whole-transcriptomic effects of per- and polyfuoroalkyl substances (PFAS) on the gut and brain of honey bees by using standardized acute and chronic tests; b) to confirm data obtained in a biomonitoring campaign on honey bees collected from apiaries otherwise contaminated with PFAS.
